The Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO), the TASBO Purchasing and Supply Management Research Committee has named Magnolia ISD as one of less than 50 districts across the state, and one of only two districts in our region as an Award of Merit for Purchasing Operations.
This distinction recognizes districts that are committed to following professional standards in the acquisition of goods and services. The district excelled in Purchasing Operation Organization, Purchasing Policies and Procedures, Purchasing Contract Operations, Purchasing Staff Engagement, Training, and Certification, Procurement Knowledge, use of technology, and Communication Tools.
"I am so very pleased with the efforts of our purchasing department under the leadership of Mr. Adam Stearns to have earned this award," said Assistant Superintendent of Operations, Erich Morris. "This should serve as another reminder to our taxpayers and all MISD stakeholders to the commitment to excellence of the MISD administration and Board of trustees as we continue to promote financial transparency and professional standards with the acquisition of goods and services."
